Environmental Health Science Innovation Fund
Through its Science Innovation Fund, Passport Foundation provides modest support for US-based research projects that demonstrate strong potential for significantly advancing the environmental health science needed to promulgate effective chemicals regulation, public health policies and clinical care policies/practices. Grant size: $5,000 - $50,000. Submission Deadlines: March 10, July 10, and November 10. To submit a proposal, please go to http://www.passportfoundation.org and click on the link to the Science Innovation Fund. All applications must be submitted online. Physicians who provide care to women of reproductive age may receive questions regarding the influenza pandemic (swine flu -- an H1N1 Influenza A virus) and its effects on pregnancy. Healthcare providers may wish to visit The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) web site providing Interim Guidance for Pregnant Women and Swine Influenza: Considerations for Clinicians (http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/clinician_pregnant.htm) to learn about the current CDC recommendations regarding the care of pregnant women with serious influenza infections.
