Grand Rounds: Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology has developed guidelines for learning for the subspecialty of reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). This live internet activity is designed to provide training to reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellows as well as other practitioners of reproductive medicine. The activity will consist of a didactic presentation followed by a question and answer session.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
At the conclusion of the educational activity, participants should be able to: 
  1. Define abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB).
  2. Discuss the major causes of AUB and the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) classification system.
  3. Outline an approach to evaluation of various patients with AUB.
  4. Discuss management of major causes of AUB.
