New AUA-ASRM Male Infertility Guidelines
New concepts in male infertility evaluation and treatment have resulted in an updated AUA-ASRM guideline for male infertility. This webinar will overview new concepts, especially for counseling men with infertility regarding their future health conditions, refinement of the evaluation of infertile men, and the use of medications for idiopathic treatment, as well as intervention in association with sperm retrieval procedures. The consequences of cancer treatment on male fertility also will be reviewed.
Cigdem "Cori" Tanrikut, MD, is Clinical Professor of Urology at Georgetown University School of Medicine and Regional Director of Reproductive Urology at Shady Grove Fertility. She served as a committee member on the AUA-ASRM Male Infertility Guideline Panel and is Past-President of SMRU.
Peter N. Schlegel, MD, is James J. Colt Professor of Urology & Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, and Chair of the recent joint AUA-ASRM Guideline panel. He is a past president of ASRM, the Society for Male Reproduction & Urology, the Society for Reproductive Surgeons, and the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction.
R. Matthew Coward, MD, is Associate Professor of Urology at UNC School of Medicine, Director of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at UNC Fertility, and Program Director for the Andrology Fellowship training program at UNC. He serves on the Board of Directors of ASRM’s Society for Male Reproduction & Urology and the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction. He is a co-creator of the SMILES webinar series.
