OB/GYN and REI trainees working in low resource settings often have an opportunity to evaluate, treat and refer patients from these underserved communities. However, many training programs in the United States lack the formalized curricular and clinical structure to optimally equip trainees with the knowledge and skills needed to provide care in these settings. This webinar seeks to help participants understand the importance of designing curricula for residents and fellowship programs that focus on the impact of infertility across sociocultural demographics, recognize the disparities that exist, and identify barriers and potential biases that limit access to care. This webinar will also discuss practical approaches to optimize the management of infertility in challenging resource-constrained settings.

Expanding Access to Care for Members of the Armed Services and Veterans

This webinar addresses the important reproductive health needs, disparities that exist, and barriers encountered that limit access to care for armed service members and veterans. The expert panel will explain the current pathways for infertility coverage through the TRICARE and VA, eligibility criteria for patients and extent of coverage, as well as identify directions to further expand access.
