Craig Niederberger, M.D., FACS, is the Clarence C. Saelhof Professor and Head of the Department of Urology in the College of Medicine and Professor in the Department of Bioengineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Neiderberger has completed residencies in surgery and urology and a fellowship in andrology and is board certified in urology.
Dr. Niederberger has served as President of the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction, the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology, and the Chicago Urological Society. Within the ASRM, Dr. Niederberger has served as Chair of the Electronic Communications Resource Committee, General Program Chair of the 2009 Annual Meeting, and as a member of the Continuing Medical Education Committee.
He co-moderates Androlog, an international email user’s group devoted to clinical and research issues in male reproductive medicine. He is an editor of the fourth edition of Infertility in the Male and of the forthcoming An Introduction to Male Reproductive Medicine.
Previously, Dr. Neiderberger served as an associate editor of Fertility and Sterility and in editorship positions with the Journal of Urology, Practical Reviews in Urology, the Journal of Andrology and Urology Times.
Antonio Pellicer, M.D., is a Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dean of the University of Valencia School of Medicine, Spain. He is also Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at La Fe University Hospital, Valencia.
After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Valencia and establishing a distinguished academic career, Dr. Pellicer founded the Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad (IVI). His work in the field of fertility has led to the establishment of several IVI clinics both in Spain and internationally. He also serves as President of the IVI Foundation for the Study of Reproduction and Director of Equipo IVI.
Dr. Pellicer has won many awards for his contributions to the field of reproductive health. He was awarded the ASRM Annual Meeting Prize Paper six times between 1987 and 2005; the XXV Society for Gynecological Investigation President’s Award in 2002; the King Jaime I Prize in Clinical Medicine, King Jaime I Foundation, in 2004; the Gold Medal of the Royal College of Physicians, Valencia, in 2006; the Gold Medal of the City of Valencia, in 2006; and the Prize Foundation Lilly in 2008. He has also authored more than 200 textbook chapters and 500 journal articles in international journals, and presented more than 350 lectures at national and international symposia.
