SART Releases Podcast Series for Those Trying to Build a Family

The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), is pleased to announce the release of its Fertility Experts Podcast Series. For those with questions about fertility and infertility, each 25-minute episode offers the insights of a variety of accomplished fertility specialists. They address a range of topics related to fertility testing, treatment, and the challenges of building a family.

Dr. Paul Lin, President of SART, stated “People wishing to build a family, and those interested in learning about fertility treatment can benefit from this series. The purpose is to provide information about fertility problems, testing, and treatment from experts in the field of reproductive medicine.” He continued, “SART hopes to provide useful information to prospective patients to help them understand fertility problems, treatment options, and how to choose a specialist. We want to provide patient-friendly education and information in a contemporary format.” The first series of eight podcasts features a variety of experts in both male and female infertility. A range of topics is discussed, including:
    • What is a Reproductive Endocrinologist?
    • What is IVF?
    • Fibroids and Fertility
    • Male Factor Infertility
    • The Pros and Perils of Social Media
    • Tubal Surgery in the IVF Era
    • Gestational Carriers
    • Fresh and Frozen Donor Eggs

Dr. Kelly Lynch, Chair of The SART Electronics Communications Committee, stated “We created this series to give patients an opportunity to learn more about fertility testing and treatment from experts in the field.” She continued “We hope they will find this series informative and helpful on their family building journey.”
