Gloria Richard-Davis, MD, MBA, serves as Executive Director of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences' (UAMS) Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DDEI). She is also a tenured Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Division Director for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, as well as Medical Director for the Physician Assistants program.
Dr. Richard-Davis is a fierce supporter and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. Much of her research has focused on conditions that disproportionately affect women of color, such as fibroids. Her publications have highlighted the differences of menopause, disparities in fertility treatment outcomes, racial physiological differences in uterine fibroids, and breast density as a risk factor for breast cancer in women of color. She founded ASRM's Health Disparities Special Interest Group and served as its chair the first four years. As Executive Director of DDEI, she creates and executes pipeline programs and evaluates effectiveness in diversifying UAMS's healthcare workforce, and through community partnerships, works with others to address health inequities across the state, nationally and internationally.
