ASRM Announces New Member Groups!

ASRM has expanded its member benefits with the addition of the Advanced Practice Provider Professional Group (APPPG), Artificial Intelligence Special Interest Group (AISIG), In Vitro Maturation Special Interest Group (IVMSIG), and Social Media Special Interest Group (SocMeSIG).

Now through January 2, 2023, ASRM members can become inaugural members of these groups for free by filling out a brief interest form.*

Advanced Practice Provider Professional Group (APPPG)

The purpose of the Advanced Practice Provider Professional Group is to establish an organized presence of Advanced Practice Providers and related professionals within ASRM, generate a presentation track on APP topics at ASRM Scientific Congress & Expos, and encourage membership of APPs within ASRM.

Artificial Intelligence Special Interest Group (AISIG)

The mission of AISIG is to provide professional leadership in AI, promote high-quality practice in the provision of fertility care through AI, continually improve the safety, efficacy and efficiency of AI innovations, maximize ART treatment access and provide support, guidance, education, research and training.

In Vitro Maturation Special Interest Group (IVMSIG)

Over the past decade, there have been a growing number of publications in peer-reviewed journals on the use of oocyte in-vitro maturation (IVM) treatment in clinical settings worldwide. The underlying trend seems to be the need for alternative, low-burden reproductive treatment options for specific groups of infertile or subfertile patients. At the same time, there has been an increased uptake of IVM as an appended technology in the setting of fertility preservation for cancer patients. IVMSIG strives to define the best strategies to optimize IVM outcomes.

Social Media Special Interest Group (SocMeSIG)

SocMeSIG's purpose is to promote the utilization of social media as a public health tool to fight medical misinformation, promote advocacy and awareness to help combat the stigma associated with infertility and improve access to care, promote the use of social media to educate patients, promote the use of social media to collaborate with ASRM members and peers, and to promote best practices through collaboration with other organizations dedicated to social media and healthcare.

*Free group membership is only available to current ASRM members with a paid member status. After joining, groups will be subsequently added at full price to member renewal invoices as an optional add-on.

ASRM Announcements contain information of interest to members about ASRM and its affiliates, NIH, FDA, WHO, or CDC matters.
