Jared Robins, M.D., MBAJared C. Robins, M.D., MBA 
Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Robins has an undergraduate degree from Emory University and obtained his MD from the State University of New York Stony Brook. Following an OB/GYN residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine he did his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Cincinnati. He also has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Dr. Robins is currently the Executive Director of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Prior to joining the ASRM, Dr. Robins has served as a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati, Brown University and Northwestern University, where he served as Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and as Director of International Medicine. After leaving Northwestern, Dr. Robins was the Global Health Officer and Attending Physician at Vios Fertility Institute. In addition to his work in clinical care, Dr. Robins has been a prolific and well-funded researcher with numerous publications and grants. Dr Robins has long been a member of ASRM and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, where he served as Education Committee Chair and Secretary Treasurer. He has been an Editorial Board member for Fertility and Sterility and a Board Examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Chevis Shannon, DrPH, MBA, MPH, MERCChevis N. Shannon, DrPH, MBA, MPH, MERC
Chief Education and Science Officer

A clinical researcher and leader in higher education with over 19 years of experience, Dr. Chevis N Shannon serves as Chief Education and Science Officer of the ASRM. She previously served as the Director of the Surgical Outcomes Center for Kids at the Monroe Carell Jr Hospital at Vanderbilt University and a Research Professor of Neurological Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).  She also served as a Bench to Bedside Research Director for the Vanderbilt University Medical School Research Immersion Program.  As a funded investigator her research includes the development and validation of disease-specific quality of life instruments, comparative effectiveness and epidemiologic research, health disparities impacting access to care, and cost-effectiveness analysis of healthcare systems. In recognition of her devotion to her trainees and her commitment to scientific integrity, in 2018, Dr. Shannon was the recipient of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Elaine Sanders-Bush Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Lee Pearce, MSW, MSHA, FACHELee Pearce, MSW, MSHA, FACHE 
Chief Operations Officer

As Chief Operating Officer at ASRM, Lee oversees day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the organization.  In this capacity, he will oversee human resources, administration, facility management, IT, marketing, and membership. He brings his strong analytical, managerial, and leadership skills from his previous position as vice president at the Alabama Quality Assurance Foundation where he oversaw health care quality through Medicare and Medicaid.  Lee also has served as the Administrator for Surgical Services and Director of Outpatient Clinics at the Birmingham VA Medical Center where he had administrative oversight of seven outpatient clinics.  Lee earned his Master’s in Social Work at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his Master's of Science in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

Sean B. Tipton, MASean B. Tipton, MA
Chief Advocacy, Policy and Development Officer

Sean formulates and executes media and government affairs programs for ASRM, the country’s leading organization for professionals involved in reproductive health care and infertility. In this role, Sean has been involved in nearly every major media and policy event related to assisted reproduction since joining ASRM. Among these have been the McCaughey septuplets, cloning, embryonic stem cell research, “Personhood” measures, the Octomom, FDA regulation of reproductive tissues, healthcare reform, and many others. He has worked in policy venues ranging from local zoning boards to the United Nations. In 2015, Sean assumed responsibility for ASRM’s fund development functions as well. His work has been recognized with awards from his alma mater, Transylvania University, the American Fertility Association, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, Research!America, and the Takoma Foundation. Sean has degrees in political science from Transylvania University and The Ohio State University.

Dan Carre, CPA, MBADan Carre, CPA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer

Dan Carre, has served as ASRM’s Chief Financial Officer since January 2012.  A seasoned financial professional with over 20 years of financial leadership experience, he oversees the organization’s financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, internal controls and reporting, overseeing regulatory issues and directing the management of investments and operating cash.  He has over 15 years of experience supporting not-for-profit programs and ensuring organizations’ resource allocation aligns with its mission and goals.  Carre holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of South Alabama and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Auburn University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Alabama and a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
