Pregnancy Ultrasound
Our practice does routine ultrasounds (sac check- 76817) at the end of an IVF cycle and bill with a diagnosis code O09.081, pregnancy resulting from ART. Recently, we are receiving insurance denials. No other diagnosis codes can be used, i.e., maternal complications, etc., in most of these cases. The sac check is done routinely before we transfer the patient to their OB/GYN.
