ASRM 2007 Annual Meeting
Preliminary Program

Welcome to Washington, D.C.

The American Society for Reproductive Medicine will hold its 63rd Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. this year. Washington, D.C. is an exciting city full of historical significance, celebrated symbols of patriotism, limitless activities for visitors, and endless special events.

Beyond Washington, D.C.’s most familiar vistas, the capital city unwinds into a lively urban center, from its casual cafes and upscale bistros lining the streets of Georgetown, to the downtown district exploding with restaurants, nightclubs, and the Kennedy Center, to the Potomac River, which winds its way past elegant marble tributes to America’s great leaders.

Attractions, Performing Arts and Sports
Fun and excitement coexist with the fancy and refined in Washington, D.C., from browsing high-brow art at the elegant Phillips Collection to the casual fun of exploring the funky shops in Adams Morgan or Eastern Market.

Second only to New York City in number of theater seats, Washington, D.C. annually hosts some of the greatest stage productions.

Washington, D.C. is not only the nation’s capital; it’s a sports capital—home to the Washington Wizards, Washington Capitals, Washington Redskins, Washington Mystics and the Washington Nationals.

Restaurants
Washington, D.C.’s restaurant scene is sizzling with innovative newcomers, as well as the tried-and–true “power dining” favorites. A quick tour of the city reveals more big name, national chains, as well as some of the best signature restaurants in the country.

Getting There
With its ideal mid-Atlantic location and comprehensive air and rail service, it’s easy to get to Washington, D.C. And, thanks to a quick and efficient Metrorail subway system, friendly tour guides and broad, welcoming streets, it’s also easy to navigate the nation’s capital once you’re here.
